good :)

it has an wonderful sound - 4/5 from me.however, i feel that the music begins to be very repetitive. because you keeped the audience waiting till 2:57 with the same notes and theme.
one good point i can credit you is that you really know how to handle the drums, and it shows from your other musics too, not only from this one. i haven't found any real mistakes or some problems, but i wish it was more interesting.
see you around.

Sylacone responds:

Thanks, I just recently started using Magix Music Maker 11 Deluxe. The stuff on there is great.

Well, thanks for telling me whats up and stuff.

wtf, lol

come'on man, this one barely has beat. all i heard was 2 instruments of bass swifting along with some buzzing sound making an headache |-(
u gotta pull off the idea of constant swifting! don't do it! don't change the pitch constantly!

DesertVulture responds:

It was my first trance, so I didn't have high expectations, but a headache? Well, you didn't have to listen to it.
Anyway, thanks for the review, I like it when people can be honest.
and sorry for the headache if you got one

nice

complaiments :
-like some reviewer said, the music is too repetitive, bring something new! not some new insturments! do twists! change something!
-need to have more bass
good stuff:
-i cannot not to see your effort here, with the rich variety of instruments
-there are no collisions between all the sounds and its good

well, i can't say this is the best melodic ive seen, because mines are more melodic. they might include less instruments however. you should check my new song "Happiness and Sadness" http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/view.php?id=1814435 in the time 02:45 the CPU load was 100% and during this part there was an average of 36 polyphonic and a peak of 46 poly. i make them quiet so u gotta turn ur volume a little to hear all of them.

nice

i liked the theme of an ancient war. the drums were cool , i didn't like the flute because it looked like a fly compared to those big drums, but the horn at the end was pretty nice.
one question to you tho - why the hell didn't you finish it? it looked like it was cut at the end.
it would perhaps be better if there were any twists in the melody i.e. now it sounds like there's a raging war, and both sides are in balance, if there was some kind of minor chord after major it could've been signify of a doubt in the currect situation.

anyways, check out my music "Happiness & Sadness" if you'd like

Ludzix responds:

As said in title, it's a BGM.
1) It loops
2) When there are twists in the game, it just changes to another song =)

Thx for the review ^o^

it can be used for a game..

it sounds so classic, like it was made from one of those old games songs in the end of a level. (search "The Chaos Machine" game for those types of musics, you'll be suprised to find out how similar that game's musics and your music are)
the track was well done, however it got repetitive at some point, and since i can't settle without harmonics - you could've done melody to it rather than making kind of meaningless in sense of harmonics.

if you can, plz check out my song "Happiness & Sadness" , unfortunely it didn't get a review :(

himenow responds:

I'll gladly check it out :)
Thanks for the comment, and it's supposed to be without a melody.
You're free to use it and to add on to it, just give me credits :P
I'd love to see what you can make of it :D

it sound more like an end to something

sorry for the late review i had a lot of stuff recently to do so it took a while until i was able to find the effort to do this..
anyway, i like the melody but there's no much in-between stuff. so if you want to make the song longer it wouldn't be enough. plus i couldn't find the so-much "game" music because it clearly symbolize something with a sad end which you couldn't loop so much. you could use it like, for an end of a show, or in the end of the game (if its a sad moment) you would get 9 if it was not a game music but it simply doesn't fit to a game so i gave you 8.

BMC-Audio responds:

hmmm...i dont know who u r, so i didnt get the whole sorry bout the late review...lol
yeah, and also i agree that it would fit under the categories you suggested but, i think it would fit under the rpg map feel. and this wasnt supposed to have a sad feeling to it, more of a serene calm feeling...

thx for the review, we obviously have opposing opinions, but either way...

nice calming piece

the music sound very calm and you also know how to make a stressing points when they're needed ;)
i liked this music very much because it includes rich harmony and because of the effect it can give to people, the only bad point is the repetitiveness.
keep making those musics!

Hellavon responds:

Thanks for the Great review:) Yeah i'm still working on how to comfortably transition my pieces so at times i'm still a little repetitive, but I am aware of it and am workin at it ;p I'm really happy you spoke of the "effect" it can give people, if I can give them any slight amount of adrenalin, joy, or tranquility it will all have been worth it. Thanks again for the nice review.

ur friend,
Hellavon

its..ok

like the top reviewer said : its pretty generic. meaning there's nothing much special about it. what he meant was , that, there is no "plot" for the music and its going at one line. for an example : you have few instruments running with almost like random tones. which is not reflecting anything. when you make a music, you have to make it reflect something. like stress, relief, etc in some points of the song. only near the end you have something like that. note : its much better to have interesting chords that together make a plot
another point : you have to make a better ending , don't stop it at the middle. one more thing, this song doesn't sound like trance. it sound like dance or techno, when developing such styles its recommended to insert some effects inside like reverb, chorus, equalizer ..
i can't tell there wasn't any effort in there. next time keep those rules and you'll end with a much better piece of music

mistahmoo responds:

Ok, thank you :D I'm a beginner when it comes to FL/electronica, I've only been at it for about a month and a half. This was mainly a song I tried to make as trance as possible, so I think that's where the generic sound stems from. As far as I know, trance is supposed to have repetition, building melodies, and no climax, as well as no real drop-off point. Well, anyway, thanks for the review, that was a lot more helpful than the guy below you :D

great music

the music can be very addicting, can be less repetitive tho. you could do a better ending.
the harmony & drums were good (dancy) well i can't tell you much more because i don't find this song with any special moments or stuff like that
hmm.. i think you should stick more to dance, because i didn't like so much your last music "inverted destiny", keep up the work.

DJ-DaVinster responds:

Thanks for the review, and this is just a demo.
If you don't like InVeRtEd dEsTiNy, then don't listen to Gabber. Thanks.

in every happy song there's a sad side

even though its meant to be happy i know some people who can even cry from this music.
the 4th note in your base loop gives the feeling its not so happy, because there's a downfall. it actually gives the image that when you die your'e going to heaven but you see all your family and all the world behind you. or , when your'e going to a very very lonely and sad place (total darkness) but died as a hero.
i liked the music itself and the harmonics in it, i wish it could've been less loopy. keep up the good work while im going to sob at a secret corner

My name is Itay. I am a programmer :) I like creating music from time to time, my intention on this site is to share with others the music I have made and to look onto other's :)
